Hello Everyone. It’s been a quite stressful week for yours truly and I have not had much of a chance to write many reviews. I hosted and helped promote a movie premiere in my home state called American Rescue Squad(click link to read my review), and while the turn out wasn’t what I wanted. Everyone who was in the production of it was very nice and I made some great friends. I also found out that in order for me to stay in my apartment for another lease I haft to pay over $945 dollars on top of my rent. So, it looks like I’m in search for a new place to live. Remember if anyone wants me to live with them. They get full access to all of my Laserdisc titles. The LAMB(Large Association of Movie Blogs) had their MOTM(Movie Of The Month. God I hate explaining all of these anagrams) for May and I won with my choice of Spring Breakers. You can listen to the show and read all of the other great articles by clicking below.
I was also nominated by 3 great critics for awards and I am very humble that any would nominate me for anything. I try my best to check out everyone’s site, but I don’t always have the time to do so. Shit, there are so many of us that it’s hard to keep up with you all. So please keep in mind that if you did comment or like what I wrote and you didn’t get a nomination. It doesn’t mean I hate what you do. It’s just hard for me to keep track of everyone in this big blogasphere movie loving world. So without further to do. Let’s get cracking on what these awards are and who I nominated. Dragon’s Loyalty Award.
This award was presented to me by the very beautiful Emma (Emmy) and her site EmmaKWall(Explains it All). check it out and you will see why.

7 Facts about Me(that you didn’t already know)
Westerns are my least favorite genre of movies to watch.
The more I watch it. The more I think Jackie Brown is Quentin Tarantino’s Best Movie.
Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom (click link to read my review) is my favorite of that Trilogy. The action never stops and it’s awesome.
I have never seen an episode of Game of Thrones and I am OK if I never do
Dollhouse may be my favorite Joss Whedon series. I like that the characters are not as easily definable as his other ones. It also manages to surprise me more.
I like my job because the people there are great and it’s close to where I live, but I know I could be somewhere better. I’m just afraid.
I have fallen in love several times in my life, but I have never had the same affection in return.
This award was brought to me by another pretty lady. Sherise who runs the site The Girl that Loved to Review. Check out the reviews and articles she writes up. They are very good. Now for this award I have to nominate 8 and answer a few questions.
What is your most unique quality? What can you do or what do you have that no one else does? (Does that make sense?)
I wouldn’t call it that unique because I’m sure many people can do it.(and even better) But I do enjoy editing podcasts. I love adding little unsuspecting music cues to shows.
Choose one of these actors to marry, one to fuck, one to kill and one to just ignore: Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Chris Evans, and Chris Pine.
I would marry Chris Evans(It is Captain America after all and I’m pretty sure my taxes would be taken care of for a while), Fuck Chris Pratt( Hey I would be much closer to being with Anna Faris then I am now), kill Chris Hemsworth( Just so I know what it would feel like to kill a God), and ignore Chris Pine( Mainly because he made that piece of shit movie “This Means War“
What was the last television show you binge watched?
“Daredevil“. That show is amazing.
Where would you like to travel to the most?
I would love to go to Cannes
“GoodFellas “or “The Godfather“?
I respect the hell out of “The Godfather”, but “GoodFellas” is more fun.
Robert DeNiro or Al Pacino?
Al Pacino mainly because of “Scarface“
What is the one movie that makes you feel great every time you watch it?
“Manhattan Murder Mystery” I watch it every time I get really really sick and it makes me feel way better.
This time a very handsome gent by the name of Vinnie H gave me this award and like the other ones on this list. I am sorry I am late in responding to it. His site is simply titled Vinnieh and I urge you all to check it out(just click on his name) rules are simple. List 10 facts about myself and nominate 15 people. Well since I have nothing more to say about myself. Let’s just get on with the nominees
The most challenging thing about writing this post will be letting everyone know that they have been nominated. I promise I will get to each and everyone of you soon. Until next time. Stay Classy.
Thanks Vern!!!! Dollhouse is awesome BTW! 🙂
Woohoo. Im glad someone else likes the show. Thank you Kim
You’re welcome Verny 🙂 and congratulations on your other award and for helping out with this film premier – sounds amazing!!!!
If it makes you feel any better I haven’t seen any episodes of Game of Thrones either! Luke is on my back ha ha.
And I too stay in a job that is easy and convenient. When I probably could try harder.
I’m going to check out American Rescue Squad and your Spring Breakers review!
Love Emmy 🙂
Game of Thrones I hear has become a bit too rapey this season. So yeah, I don’t think Im missing too much with that one. Thanks again Emmy for all that you do.
Ewww 😦 we don’t like rapey.
Sometimes I find the more people go on about you watching something, the more you don’t want to! I didn’t’ start watching Breaking Bad until season 4 (admittedly…Breaking Bad is great)
Thank YOU for all you do dear, sweet Verny! (Jason)
Thanks for the mention Vern and man you are really getting the awards as of late.
Dude. you are more then welcome. Thanks again
Thanks for the shout-out, Vern! 🙂
How in the world could I not. You live in coolsville after all
Well here’s one less person you have to notify as I found it myself. Thanks! I haven’t gotten one of these in a while, probably because I don’t fully participate. But I always appreciate it when they’re tossed my way. I’ll toss out some facts on Twitter maybe tomorrow so keep an eye out.
Awesome news Bubbawheat. Thanks man. I could use your real name on these post but for some reason it would be like giving away your secret identity.
Congratulations on the many nominations! You’re blog is pretty great so you deserve them!
Thank you for the nomination. Very much appreciated 🙂
I’d marry Chris Evans too.
Muchos Thanks Mel.
Epic post, my brother and thanks for the nom! Hey – a little trivia – your top pick – the black and white one? See that guy at the top with his arm raised? The guy in the hat to his right (left on the pic) – that’s me!
Much appreciated, thanks.
It’s fine that you haven’t seen GOT, I haven’t seen a single episode of Breaking Bad (and don’t plan to either, it’s too late, too much hype). I have, however, seen the house where its filmed.
Yeah Im the same way too with the whole Hype machine. That’s why I didn’t watch Sopranos or Buffy until their series was done( I still have one more season left with Buffy)
Thanks for the nomination, and I love your answers and facts!
You are welcome Zoe.
Thanks so much, Vern, you’re a true gent. I’ll get onto this at the weekend. Also, good luck with the flat, that sucks. Thumbs down to your evil landlord.
Thank you Laura.
Congratulations on your awards! And totally appreciate you including me among your Liebster nominees. I liked your reading your answers, I miss Dollhouse and glad that you liked Daredevil, awesome shows.
Wow… Three awards in one shot. You’re on a roll! Congrats, Vern! …And thanks for the nomination. You’re too kind!
Thank you for the tip of the hat, Vern! The Dragon’s Loyalty award is a new one on me. Much appreciated. I probably won’t find the time to do a proper response post this week because the Movies At Dog Farm IV live event looms large on the horizon this weekend – and because there are only five interesting things about me, anyway – but I truly appreciate the nomination. Congratulations on collecting those awards like Silence Of The Lambs at the Oscars!
Thanks for including me! Temple of Doom was my favorite Indy film growing up, love the awesome rope bridge scene.
Jackie Brown, I think Tarantino was aiming for the dialogue to be more realistic and down-to-earth. It was different to his other cartoonish movies. My favorite is still Pulp Fiction for the memorable quotes.
I don’t think I ever got a chance to thank you for this fab nomination, Vern, so please expect a proper THANK YOU on my award post 😉 I love your blog and your projects support and I think your’e doing an awesome job.
I never saw this until today?! (Madness) But big big well done on the crazy amount of awards and also the film premiere! That sounds incredible! Thank you for the nomination Vern 🙂 Hope you’re well and sorted out your living arrangements!
