Well here it is folks Oct 31 2015 and unlike the above clip from a somewhat underrated feature. We no longer have to wait for the day to come. But although many of you will be watching a scary movie tonight. Don’t forget that horror movies don’t haft to be watched at just this time of year. Anytime can be a great time to watch these films. For this post I wanted to share some videos that I think would be kind of cool to for you to see. Not just for today, but maybe for the rest of this weekend too.
Doctor Wolfula – The Evil Dead Review.
With Ash Vs The Evil Dead coming to Starz this weekend. Horror reviewer Doctor Wolfula looks back at the very first adventure of the hero before he got the chainsaw arm.
Good Bad Flicks – Halloween III: Season of The Witch Review.
Cecil Trachenburg hosts a really good series where he explores movies that usually get a bad rap by the general public which may not be all that bad. In this video he goes into details about the third entry and most despised in the Halloween franchise.
CineFix- Top 10 Movie Monsters of all time.
A great list of creatures that made us wary of nature. One of them still has me afraid to go into the water.
Trailers From Hell – Poltergeist
Trailers From Hell – The Shining
Trailers From Hell – The Omen
Trailers From Hell – Suspiria ( U.S. Trailer)
Trailers From Hell – Suspiria (International Trailer)
This series brings in a different filmmaker and have them do a commentary on a particular movie trailer. These next few are from this genres most popular entires. You get a lot of good behind the scenes facts without having to listen to a whole two hour one.
Dwelling(2015) Trailer.
This movie stars the very beautiful Devanny Pinn. I met her once at the Twin Cities Film Fest when they were showing House of Manson(Click name to read my review). Her latest movie I won’t lie is a bit confusing in terms of plot. But a good trailer shouldn’t give away too much details either.
Hellevator – Promo
I’ve been a fan of The Soska Twins ever since I stumbled upon a trailer for American Mary and had to rent it right away. They have a very unique style and are as important to the genre as Wes Craven and Dario Argento were before them. Here is a nice little ad for their news game show Hell
Bat For Lashes – What’s a girl to do
Bat For Lashes – What’s A Girl To Do from Blink on Vimeo.
If you watched the pilot episode of MTV’s Scream Queens. This song should sound familiar. I really enjoy this video and Natasha Khan is in my top five of best singers of all time. Both the song and the video have this great gothic vibe like it’s something from a Hammer feature from the late 70’s.
Hemmingbirds – Mess of Things.
In this video a guy is seen getting ready to go out with his girlfriend, but when his friends show up. He disses her and goes out with them instead. Throughout the course of the day he bumps each one of them off until he is the only one left. Oh I should mention that the guy is just a skeleton. The song is not my cup of tea but it aint bad either. Plus I can’t hate on anyone that uses my real last name as the title of their group.
Robbie Williams – Rock DJ
This is a great video. and you may not think it. It’s perfect for today
Tool – Prison Sex.
This may be the most disturbing music video I have ever seen next to the Nine Inch Nails one for “Happiness in Slavery” and I’m not ever going to post that, so don’t ask.
Alright folks, I could spend the rest of the day finding videos for you, but I got to get ready to go out tonight. Have a fun and great Halloween.
OH!!! You should post it. In fact, it’s small potatoes compared to the Broken movie.
Damn it Steven, NO. NO I’m not watching it again and if you say it’s small compared to Broken. Hell no. Yes Scores from Trent Reznor are awesome but NO. Well erm Maybe, but not anytime soon. Happy Halloween Buddy. Would love to have you on As You Watch or Film Pasture soon
Happy belated Halloween, hope you had a good one! Thanks for those vids on The Shining and Suspiria, had not seen them before
Trailers from Hell is awesome. Hope you had a good one too
