Hello everyone. Since we are only a week away from celebrating one of the best holidays ever. I thought it would be nice to share some awesome horror and other fright filled posts by some great writers. That and I just recently got my laptop and didn’t have much time to really write anything too new(at least for this site). What follow is a cool list of reviews, stories and even some videos of some great things to hopefully put you in the Halloween season.
Parlor of Horror has a great post all about stories that are perfect to tell when you out camping.

Kieron from What about The Twinkee enlists other great writers such as Zoe from The Sporadic Chronicles from a Beginner Blogger and Jade of Enchanted by Film to list some great movies to watch this Halloween weekend

The Beautiful Leah Hather reviews one of Stephen King’s adapted works The Mist for Movie Rob’s Blogathon about The Maine writer (Be sure to check out other great posts as well)
Movie Reviews 101 does a good job looking back at one of Freddy Krueger’s best features that is not the original. A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
Hard Ticket To Home Video looks back at the movie Trick or Treat for his Shlocktober Fest V. This is not the recent one that combined a bunch of stories. No, this one is all about how the devil can get into your records and steal your soul if you play them backwards.

Kristen of Journeys in Classic Films reviews a movie I have never heard of before and makes a good point that ones we are not familiar with are perfect to be remade because they have a good premise. Or in this case a good title. Let’s Scare Jessica to Death does have a nice ring to it

Brandon of Movies at a Dog Farm and Eric of The IPC have been gushing and praising about The Final Girls. A movie so good I won’t be seeing it in theaters because some asshole thought another Paranormal Activity movie was the right call.

The fine staff over at Channel Superhero have enlisted many many great writers. Infact way too much for me to link to here. They have all gathered including yours truly to cover 31 days of the HBO series that should get a comeback Tales From The Crypt. Bubbawheat’s intros are the best and capture the same fun tone that the show has

Well that’s all the links I have for this week. I will be back in a few days to give you my 5 tips to survive any horror flick. Thanks for reading.
What a good roundup of links to get in the Halloween mood. I’m looking forward to checking out that Stephen King review, though I have yet to watch The Mist and want to read that list of movie recommendations from What about the Twinkee. Horror movies have the funniest titles sometimes and although I rarely watch films in the horror genre, how can anyone bypass a flick that goes by the name “Let’s Scare Jessica to Death” this season? I’d probably give it a chance out of sheer curiosity 🙂
Thanks for sharing!
The Mist is great and if you can get the Black and White version I highly recommend that one. It in my mind is a bit more scary, and it matches the same type of paranoia that movies had back in the 50’s.
I’ll be be sure to look for that version if I can get up the guts to watch it. From the little I’ve seen and read about The Mist, it seems like a creepy film. M. Night Shyamalan is behind that one, right? I lack much knowledge in the horror/creepy film department. Maybe I can convince some of my family to watch it with me.
Absolutely awesome round up here Vern! Will have to check some of these out 🙂 Thanks for the mention!
you are very welcome
Many thanks for the shout out, Vern! I’m thrilled to be among such great company, and glad to see you’re up and running again.
Thanks man I just need a few more things to get the shows started again, but we will be doing that soon
This is a great selection of links! (also wtf with that first gif? lol)
Thank you As for your question It’s from a short called Lights Out.
